Four track and field athletes from the community brought home 11 track and field medals from the Ontario Aboriginal Summer Games.

From left to right: Willy Dick, 15, Travis Reinke, 15, Jordan Dick, 14, and Arron Baptiste, 15 display their collection of medals from the games. It was the first time any of the youth had particpated in a sport at this level.

Willy took home gold medals in the 800m,1500m, and 4x4 relay. He also took home a bronze in the 400m. Arron took home four gold medals as well. She won in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m distances. Jordan took home two bronze medals in the 800m and 1500m races. Travis helped his team caputre gold in the 4x4 relay race.

Dennis Brash and Billy Dick coached the athletes and were proud of their accomplishments.
